Animoca Manufacturers has acquired US-based web3 video games streaming platform Azarus. Launched in 2018, Azarus raised $5.8 million in two funding rounds in 2019 and 2022, with buyers together with Animoca, Galaxy Digital and Kleiner Perkins.
The price of the acquisition hasn’t been disclosed.
Animoca goals to combine Azarus streaming know-how into its catalogue of web3 video games and tasks. It permits customers to stream their gameplay whereas interacting with their viewers. Notably streamers can make the most of blockchain-based AzaCoins tokens to facilitate rewards and incentives for its viewers.
